Blog: A New Era

You may have happened upon my site via social media. That’s great news! As you may have noticed, I have been absent on my social media. As with most things in life, my life is in a transitional season. I once was pursuing more superficial and even artificial avenues such as plus size modeling. For whatever reason, that avenue did not work out for me. I spent months being upset that this dream was not working out–after all, in my eyes, I am beautiful and I have a contagious personality so this should be a mailed in success, right? WRONG. It did not work out, but I learned a lot about myself in the process–so maybe that was the point of that particular point of my journey. Somewhere along the lines, I decided that I would rather be known for my brain than for my body. I am more than happy with the gift nature gave me in my physical sense, but I am a whole lot more than just beautifully gathered cells and atoms that form my curves. What is even curvier and dare I say sexy, are my neurons. I recognize that a large portion of my following is comprised of men and women that are interested in the physical attributes of Stacey Jewell, however, I encourage you to stick around for insight and intellect. If what I have to say is not your cup of joe (or tea), I can respect that and I wish you all the best. The Age of Enlightenment took three decades to dawn upon me. I feel that I have a lot of lost time to make up. I am in search of a lot of truths–truths that are not mainstream. I am not always going to get it right, but I am going to try my hardest to bring both credible research and discussion to the table. There are a lot of questions that I have that simply do not have answers–and that is fine too. My hopes are to create a platform in which we can respectfully discuss new ideas, concepts, history, etc. We do not always have to agree, but I would ask that we would constantly challenge each other. I am looking forward to embarking on a new journey and learning new things. Santé!

  1. Have you heard of Gary Vee (Vanerchuck) – you didn’t waste any time pursuing a goal just because that goal wasn’t what you thought it was or in your words did not work out: you either win or learn as many a coach will say: you learned.
There is so much to learn and so many opportunities we never know are coming we just need to be open to them, hit life with a positive attitude, be kind to people and treat people with genuine respect and have what our parents generation called manners and it is pretty remarkable what comes back to you, who remembers you for the right reasons, and what doors are opened for you as a result of things you have done simply because that was the right thing to do and that person heard about it.

Just as the next person you barge in crowd could be interviewing you – know a true story about that, a passer by who sees you give a hot drink to a homeless person could be the very person who decides whether its you or someone else getting a break.

All the best with your adventures and endeavours in the future.
